Widely considered a classic, Jane Eyre gave new truthfulness to the Victorian novel with its realistic portrayal of the inner life of a woman, noting her struggles with her natural desires and social condition. Thus, critics had interpreted it from perspectives of Feminism, Marxism, New Historicism and so on. This paper tries to read it from a Postcolonial Feminist Approach by illustrating the concept as “Other” and investigating it for the roles of the female characters.
