A (zoom) alert for today, February 24, at the Bronté Parsonage Museum:
LGBTQ+ History Month Special
Thursday 24 February 2022
19.30 h

To celebrate LGBTQ+ History month we welcome Jasmine Gardosi to The Brontë Lounge, to discuss the importance of speaking about trans issues, being loud, being honest, and being heard. Jas’ latest work Say It Anyway explores identity, and was created during their 2020 residency in celebration of Anne Brontë. This Brontë Lounge will also delve into the context of Anne’s life, poetry, and novels.

The event will include a Q&A for audience members to ask Jas about their work, including responses to their new film-poem Say It Anyway.

This Brontë Lounge has an added twist; over the build-up to the event and during the 45 minutes, Jasmine will be using tweets, messages, zoom comments, youtube comments, questions and thoughts to piece together a poem inspired by the questions and reactions. This will be done throughout the event. They will be using the audience’s voice to create a reaction poem, which will be performed live.
