A new theatre piece celebrating Anne Brontë's bicentenary opens today, January 31 n Surry Hills, Australia:
The Lost Voice of Anne Brontë

A Victorian Melodrama of Murderous Intrigue, Madness and Malice based on the lives of the Brontë Sisters and written by Cate Whittaker (after the successful production at the Riverside Theatre of her play Forgotten, based on the Parramatta Female Convict Rebellion 1827 ). The Lost Voice of Anne Brontë will have its World Premiere in Sydney, before being performed in the Haworth Schoolroom, UK as part of the bicentenary celebrations for Anne Brontë, the first whistleblower on wife abuse.
