An alert for tomorrow, November 26, in Rawdon:
Rawdon Community Library
Lecture – “Patrick Brontë” by Diane Fare
November 26 @ 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm
The Telegraph & Argus has further information:
The father of the Brontë sisters will be the subject of a talk at Rawdon Community Library this month.
Patrick Bronte was the father of the three famous authors Emily, Charlotte and Anne. His life will be discussed by Diane Fare of the Bronte Society and Bronte Parsonage Museum.
A library spokeswoman said: “Another talk from Diane - whose previous lectures on Emily and Anne Brontë have proved popular and fascinating - this time on the father of three famous authors, one unhappy son and two more girls who died as children.”
The event will take place at 2pm on Tuesday, November 26. Tickets cost £4, in advance or on the door, and include refreshments. (Annette McIntyre)
