Patch Chicago has a  short review of The Joffrey Ballet's take on Jane Eyre with Cathy Marston's choreography.
The music, composed by Philip Feeney, and performed by the Chicago Philharmonic under the direction of Music Director & Conductor Scott Peck, was one of the highlights of the evening. It beautifully mirrors the story of Jane's turbulent life.
A stand-out performance came from Christine Rocas dancing the role of Bertha Mason, the wife of Edward Rochester. An insane woman who has been locked away in a secret area of the Rochester residence for many years, she breaks out, determined to prevent Jane and Mr. Rochester from ever being together. Ms. Rocas brings out the intense energy inherent in such a character, and her performance is riveting. (Donna Robertson)
And that seems to be it.

Remember, though, that you can still help bring home to Haworth one of Charlotte's little books!
