 Based on her adoption and teen years, Marina DelVecchio’s Dear Jane (Black Rose Writing, 2019) tells the story of a suicidal teen whose letters to Charlotte Brontë’s Jane Eyre give her the courage she needs to overcome the abuses of her childhood and the silences of her new life as a Greek-American adoptee.
