An alert for today, July 6, in Bradford:
Bradford Literature Festival: The Brontës at Ponden Hall
Waterstones, Bradford
Friday 6th July 19:30 - 20:30
This event is part of Bradford Literature Festival.

Boasting one of the largest private libraries in Yorkshire, Ponden Hall played host to three inquisitive sisters from Haworth in the early 19th century. The building’s influence can be felt through the Brontës’ collective works, from Anne’s vision of Wildfell Hall to both of the iconic houses in Wuthering Heights.

Join much-acclaimed and Brontë-inspired writer, Rowan Coleman, in conversation with the owner of Ponden Hall, Julie Ackhurst, who is herself writing a book about the history of the iconic location. They will discuss the artefacts of the hall, exposing the deep connection the Brontë novels share with the house and its history.
