See costumes on display in Shibden Hall from the recent Brontë TV Drama, ‘To Walk Invisible’ by Sally Wainwright, several scenes of which were filmed at the Hall. We will also have some original clothing and textiles from the Brontë period on display throughout the Hall and links to other literary characters from the region and Shibden’s literary past. The collections on display are from Calderdale Museums’ and Calderdale Libraries' collections and loans from the The Laurence Stern Trust at Shandy Hall and The Brontë Parsonage Museum, Haworth.
There will also be private tours of the exhibition with the Curator, Elinor Camille-Wood on the 28 April and 2 September at 2pm and a talk by Ann Dinsdale, Principal Curator of the Brontë Parsonage Museum in Haworth about the research that went into developing the production design, costumes and other props for the BBC drama ‘To Walk Invisible’ by Sally Wainwright, on the 11 August at 2pm.
