Jane Eyreby Anne Dalton
Wednesday 5th, Saturday 8th April @ 1pm & 7pm
Thursday 6th and Friday 7th April @ 7pm
Pavilion Theatre, East Parade, Rhyl, Denbighshire, LL18 3AQ

A faithful and haunting retelling of the Charlotte Brontë classic, this musical captures the full emotional force of the iconic original novel, appealing equally to those already familiar with “Jane Eyre” and to anyone experiencing the story for the first time.h
Jane’s childhood with its abuse and poverty, her uncertain status in the world and her burning sense of the injustice of it all unfold before our eyes, intensified by the heroine’s narrations.  Through her eyes and with the aid of her mature observation, and with her legendary honesty and humour, we are guided through Jane’s remarkable history.
We follow her into the world of 1840s northern England and trace her life journey as she emerges to seek her fortune, unbroken in spirit and with her integrity intact. Each of Jane’s escapes from her successive homes, Gateshead, Lowood and Thornfield increase her self-improvement and sense of self-worth. This passionate and tenacious woman’s search for family, belonging and love is tempered by her need for independence. She is drawn irresistibly to the enigmatic Mr. Rochester, but will class differences and his terrible secret tear them apart?
Sweeping melodies enhance this part Gothic romance part ghost story while the apt and intelligent dialogue and lyrics bring the power and wit of Brontë ’s original story vividly to life on stage.
