An alert for today, May 12, at the Brontë Parsonage Museum:
Museums at Night: Charlotte Undressed
A unique after-hours event focusing on Charlotte Brontë's wardrobe
May 12th 2016 07:30pm - 09:30pm
We are delighted to participate in the national Museums at Night initiative once again.
Visitors to this very special ticketed event will be welcomed with a glass of wine before being given the opportunity to view rarely-displayed pieces from Charlotte Brontë's wardrobe in our library with a member of our Collections team. Textile artist Serena Partridge will then talk about how her artistic response to the concept of the miniature was inspired by Charlotte's tiny gloves, shoes and stockings, and discuss the development of her work alongside the pieces that were her original inspiration.
This event promises to be completely unique, and to add to the intimate ambiance, numbers will be strictly limited.
