(Malena Forsare) (Translation)Ystads Allehanda reviews the production as well.
One scene in the film sees the tart-tongued Dickinson scandalizing polite company by dismissing Wadsworth’s epic “The Song of Hiawatha” as “gruel,” defending instead the “Yorkshire gloom” of the Brontë sisters: “If they wanted to be wholesome, I imagine they would crochet.” (Guy Lodge)Hot on the heels of Valentine's Day we share this link to a quiz on 'Declarations of love in literature: who said what?' from The Guardian which includes some Brontë mentions. Wordarts posts about her love affair with Wuthering Heights. The Reading MD reviews the novel. University of Sheffield Gothic posts about Jane Eyre 2011.
