Two Yorkshire alerts for the following days:
West Yorks Brontë Society: Needlework at East Riddlesden Hall
Join Ann Sumner, director of the Brontë Parsonage Museum for tea and conversation

Visit East Riddlesden Hall, where 2009’s TV adaptation of Wuthering Heights was filmed. Director Ann Sumner lectures on 17th-century needlework, and discusses the examples on display, then talks about the Brontës’ needlework over tea.
This event has been specially devised for members, but if you're not a member and you'd like to try it out as a first-time guest, you are more than welcome.

Meet at East Riddlesden Hall, Tuesday August 13, 2.30-5pm. Cost: £5 entry fee for entrance to East Riddlesden Hall (National Trust members enter free). Members pay for own tea in café.
In Hawksworth, Leeds:
Yorkshire Countrywomen Association
Next month’s meeting on August 12 will commence at 6pm as there will be a pearl anniversary afternoon tea before the speaker talks about the Brontë family. (Via Ilkley Gazette)
