Wuthering Heights by Peter Kosminsky (UK, 1992, 105 min.). An all-encompassing, passionate—but ultimately doomed—love between the free spirited Catherine Earnshaw (Binoche) and Heathcliff (Ralph Fiennes) eventually destroys them and the people they love. This particular adaptation of Emily Bronte’s novel is notable for including the often-omitted, second-generation story Catherine’s children, her brother Hindley, and Healthcliff.
One of the main locations of the film was the Limestone Field at Malham Cove, North Yorkshire, which is also the main setting of this feature of
Vogue España's January 2013 issue.
