Two different Wuthering Heights artistic expressions:
Aymee Smith
Wuthering Heights (2011-12)
Wuthering Heights has been reduced to the space of an A5 piece of paper, condensing each word onto a single page.
We can no longer read what has been written, all we are left with are the bold black lines produced by so much crowding, and the smeared ink that dirties the edges.
All meaning has been erased, replaced by the mechanical act of the machine drawing methodically across the paper.

Do you know the Doedemee initiative?
Well, to keep it short, we've gathered 100 creatives from 28 different countries to help us fight illiteracy. Each of them will re-cover a classic novel that appears on the Observers '100 Greatest Novels of All Times'. This unique collection of cover designs will be sold online as posters and proceeds will go to an organization fighting illiteracy. The 100 posters are also available as expo.
On Toast Monster we can found the Wuthering Heights cover (and another post about the creative process).
