Send in the Girls Burlesque, the sexy storytellers that created last year’s sold out, held over, Fringe awarding winning hit “Tudor Queens: A Burlesque” return this August with their brand of burlesque ripped from the history books.
Part ghost story, part literary competition, part secret strip-show, A Brontë Burlesque marries the art form of burlesque with the medium of theatre to tell the story of the secret lives of prolific powerhouses Charlotte Brontë (author of "Jane Eyre," "The Professor," and "Villette") Emily Brontë (author of "Wuthering Heights"), and Anne Bronte (author of "Agnes Grey" and "The Tenant of Wildfell Hall").
On the last night of her life, famed novelist and poet Charlotte Brontë is visited by the ghosts of her dead siblings, Branwell, Emily and Anne. Blood is thicker than ink, and there’s more to the Brontë Sisters that what they wrote on the page. Don’t you want to see how it ends?
