Brontë returns to New York in a new production by the Alloy Theater Company and thanks to Pekoe Group we have
a special offer for our readers:
Alloy Theater Company presents
Brontë. A Portrait of Charlotte
by William Luce
With Maxine Linehan
Directed by Timothy Douglas
Theater 511 – 511 West 54th Street (btwn 10th & 11th Avenue)
Brontë is a solo portrait of Charlotte Brontë written by William Luce, and last performed by the great Julie Harris. The piece has been described as "engrossing and entertaining" by Variety, and as "an immaculate work of theater" by the LA Times. Brontë is a fantastic way to meet not only Charlotte, but also the entire Brontë clan, a wonderful way to bring a real-life influential past persona into our world. Brontë is full of humorous observations of the human heart, as well as a few satirical swipes at 19th century morality and literature.
