The Brontës’ Yorkshire Garden by Welcome to Yorkshire brings the Yorkshire landscape which inspired the famous sisters Charlotte, Emily and Anne to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
This year is the 165th anniversary of the publication of some of their most famous works: Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights and Agnes Grey. The garden is based on a location the sisters used to visit to discuss their ideas and writing, which has become a popular tourist destination, as it is located on the path to the spot widely believed to be a setting for Wuthering Heights, Top Withens. The garden features a stream, a clapper bridge and elements of the landscape that are characteristic of the wild and windswept Pennine Moors.
