An amateur production of Wuthering Heights opens today in Spondon, Derbyshire, today, April 26:
Locko Amateur Dramatic Society
Wuthering Heights
adapted by CharlesVance
26th, 27th and 28th, April  2012

A stunning version of Emily Brontë's great classic, the immortal love story set amid the bleak beauty of Haworth Moor, the landscape over which towers the wild, terrible figure of Heathcliff.

The tale of his searing passion for the beautiful Catherine Earnshaw has the vividness of nightmare, the beauty and simplicity of an old ballad and depth and intensity of ancient tragedy.

A spell binding thriller and ghost story, the original of which was penned at the Parsonage in Haworth, is now brought vividly to life in this theatre presentation.

Cast
Cathy Linton.. ..Janine Merry
Heathcliff....Ben Sherwin
Catherine Earnshaw....Marie Stone
Edgar Linton....Craig Bridges

  1. This is, in my opinion the best production by the LADS.

The acting superb and very professional,Costumes spot on. The parallel storyline extremely well done.

Ben Sherwin, who played Heathcliff lived the part, you could well believe that he was actually the character he portrayed.

Congratulations to the whole of the cast for a brilliant performance.
