Student theatre productions of Jane Eyre:
1. In Brownwood, TX, probably Robert Johanson's one-act adaptation of Jane Eyre:
Jane Eyre
One-act play.

The Brownwood High School theatre department is getting set for their upcoming UIL one act play competition.  To help them prepare, the actors are offering a sneak peek performance to the public of their production Jane Eyre.
The public is invited to see the performance of Jane Eyre Thursday, March 22 at 7:30pm in the Dorothy McIntosh Fine Arts Center at Brownwood High School. Tickets will be available at the door for a donation.
Brownwood High School students will travel to Sweetwater this weekend and perform their one act play in competition this Saturday.
Jane Eyre, Charlotte Brontë’s magnificent Gothic love story, is brought to stirring life by the performers. In the burned-out ruins of Thornfield Hall, the adult Jane Eyre recalls the disturbing events of her childhood and young adulthood: her miserable upbringing as an orphan thrust upon unsympathetic relatives, her trials at the infamous Lowood School, and eventually her acceptance as governess at Thornfield Hall where she encounters its enigmatic master, Edward Rochester.  Jane eventually unravels the secrets of this mysterious place and finds her own personal epiphany through honesty, courage, and sacrifice.
