FIDM Museum & Galleries
20th Annual Art of Motion Picture Costume Design
Exhibition Dates     February 14–April 28, 2012     10am–4pm     Tuesday through Saturday

The FIDM Museum is proud to present the twentieth anniversary Art of Motion Picture Costume Design exhibition. Celebrating the art and industry of costume designers, this exhibition will present more than 100 costumes from twenty films released in 2011. A gown from Alice in Wonderland, the 2011 Academy Award® winner for best Costume Design, will greet visitors as they enter the galleries.
The exhibition will also showcase classic film costumes from the FIDM Museum collection and the Department of Recreation and Parks, City of Los Angeles, Historic Hollywood Collection. Some of these same costumes were featured during the first Art of Motion Picture Costume Design exhibition in 1993.

This Valentine’s Day, look to tragic romance on the moors with West Texas A&M University’s Great Books Series.
Monica Hart Smith, WT assistant professor of English, will discuss Emily Brontë’s “Wuthering Heights” at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Amarillo Public Library Southwest Branch, 6801 S.W. 45th Ave.
The series is free, and no preparation is needed.
