Fox Atlanta reports a gift received by Emory University:
Emory University in Atlanta has received a donation of more than $1 million worth of rare books. [...]
The collection also includes rare editions of works by Emily Brontë, Rudyard Kipling, Victor Hugo and Charles Dickens.
The donation comes from Ohio businessman and book collector Stuart Rose, an Emory alumnus.
This columnist from The Cornell Daily Sun might want to bear in mind those names for her future cats:
And, you know, I am a sad, alone, bitter person. I have accepted this and moved on. I am going to die alone and be eaten by my cats, of which I will have many, and they will be named Emily Dickinson and Sylvia Plath and Virginia Woolf and Brontë one and two and maybe Dorothy Parker too (as in “as well,” not “Dorothy Parker too.”) (Elana Dahlager)
And tonight at 7:30 people from the Buxton area (UK) have a new chance of seeing LipService's Withering Looks show at the Buxton Opera House.

Les Soeurs Brontë posts in French about the Balbusso sisters' illustrations for Jane Eyre. Reviews by Tany, A Books Review and Ivy's Blog all discuss Jane Eyre too. Iris on Books has loved Jude Morgan's The Taste of Sorrow. And finally, Flickr user girlheartbunny has made a drawing of one of Wuthering Heights best-known covers.
