Many sites continue listing Cary Fukunaga's Jane Eyre among the highlights of the year. Anglotopia, for instance, says,
I’m not convinced we need another retelling of Jane Eyre, especially after the great miniseries from a few years ago. But there’s one coming nonetheless and it does look interesting and has a good pedigree behind it. (Jonathan)
And then GoErie says,
"Jane Eyre" -- Having played Alice for Tim Burton, Mia Wasikowska takes on another iconic character from English literature, in an adaptation which reportedly emphasizes the tale's Gothic side. (M.V. Moorhead)
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette also lists it among other forthcoming releases.

In an article on zombies, The Sydney Morning Herald brings up another Jane Eyre-related movie:
Romance is not forbidden in zombie circles. Long before the fad of Jane Austen mash-ups like Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, the 1943 classic I Walked with a Zombie drew its storyline from Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre. (Alessandra Stanley)
The Sawyer County Record asks the staff at the local Weiss Library 'about their night-table reading, favorite authors'.
Molly Lank-Jones, Director: Currently reading “Fab: An Intimate Life of Paul McCartney” by Howard Sounes. Favorite authors — too many to list — but include Margaret Atwood, Nevada Barr, Ray Bradbury, Lillian Jackson Braun, Emily Brontë, Willa Cather, Patricia Cornwell, F. Scott Fitzgerald, E.M. Forster, John Irving, C.S. Lewis, David Sedaris, Mark Twain, Kurt Vonnegut and others. (Kathy Hanson)
The Boston Phoenix describes as follows a karaoke performance:
On New Year's Eve, in a karaoke bar in Seattle, I heard a possibly insane woman belt BLU CANTRELL's "Hit 'Em Up Style" in a devastating, high-pitched, off-key banshee shriek. She sounded like a piss-drunk "Wuthering Heights"–era Kate Bush with a steak knife plunged in her back. It was genuinely stunning. Her yowling has been haunting me ever since; I've tried listening to the real track, but it's just no good. It's been made obsolete. (David Thorpe)
Un libro bajo la almohada (in Spanish) interviews writer Regina Román who says Jane Eyre is one of her favourite books. That same novel is dscussed by P is for Polyglot, with special attention to how it compares to Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. Fierce Heroines: Young Women in YA Fiction reviews April Lindner's Jane and is not too keen on it. Every Book and Cranny gives a 4 out of 5 to Agnes Grey. Oh no, Jules! discusses the choice of a non-white actor for the part of Heathcliff in Andrea Arnold's forthcoming adaptation of Wuthering Heights. And finally, A Penguin a Week posts about Rachel Ferguson's The Brontës Went to Woolworths.
