** THIS CONTEST IS CLOSED **

We have a very special choice of books for our Christmas contest to pick among:
The Brontës. Revised and Updated Edition by Juliet Barker (Thanks to Little, Brown Book Group)
The House of Dead Maids by Clare B. Unkle (Thanks to Henry Holt Publishers)
Wuthering Bites by Sarah Gray (Thanks to Kensington Books)
Bluebeard Gothic. Jane Eyre and its Progeny by Heta Pyrhönen (Thanks to University of Toronto Press)
As usual, entering our Christmas contest is very, very easy. You only need to

Send us your favourite, more Christmas-like quote from any Brontë work or letter.

It doesn't need to include the word 'Christmas'. We would rather the quotation conveys the feeling of what Christmas time feels like for you, or what Christmas time should be all about in your opinion.

We will accept ONE QUOTE ONLY per participant and each participant must state their chosen book. Quotations must be sent to our e-mail: bronteblog (AT) gmail (DOT) com (read that aloud if that doesn't sound like an e-mail address to you) before December 27, 12am CET.

The winners will be emailed on December 28, and their quotes will be the weekly quotes of the following week.

Good luck everyone!

  1. I remember doing this last year!

Merry Christmas. I'll be sending mine along. :-)

(I've just started reading the Brontes this year. They are QUICKLY becoming my favorite writers. I still haven't tried Anne yet, but I intend to in January.) :-)
