Jane Eyre – The Well-Dressed Governess
Speakers: Gillian Stapleton
The tale of Charlotte Brontë and her fictional heroine – both women of passionate intensity – retold through the deceptively genteel fashions of the 1840s. Historical seamstress Gillian Stapleton, from The History Wardrobe, presents a delightful array of replica garments to illustrate the key costumes and scenes of Charlotte Brontë’s well-loved novel.
The price includes tea and biscuits.
Supported by Audley Clevedon.
