The empty chair... by William Callaghan
The diary paper, written and sketched by Emily, of 26 June 1837, has Emily herself sat with her back to the dining room windows. Anne is at the far end of the table, next to the sofa, with her back to the fireplace. The intriguing thing about this drawing is the empty place between Emily and Anne.

Coxwold Excursion by Mary A Haigh, Brontë Society Representative, Region 10 USA
On 8 June, the Brontë members who signed up for the annual trip to visit Coxwold, Scarborough and Harrogate, were blessed with truly beautiful scenery, and weather; a new bus, and a leader who made a superb booklet including pictures in color of the events to come.
