TRACY CHEVALIER IN HAWORTH
Novelist Tracy Chevalier, author of international bestseller Girl with a Pearl Earring will be visiting Haworth to read from and speak about her latest novel Remarkable Creatures. The event will take place on Friday 16 October at 7.30pm at the West Lane Baptist Centre, Haworth. The evening forms part of the Brontë Parsonage Museum’s contemporary arts programme.
Tracy Chevalier’s new novel, Remarkable Creatures, tells the story of Mary Anning, who in nineteenth-century Lyme Regis discovers the first pre-dinosaur fossils which will pave the way for Darwin’s theory of evolution. Tracy Chevalier will be signing copies of the new book, which will be for sale at the event.
Tracy Chevalier is the author of six novels, including The Virgin Blue (1997), Falling Angels (2001), The Lady and the Unicorn (2003) and Burning Bright (2007). Born in Washington DC, Tracy Chevalier now lives in London. She is Chairman of the Society of Authors.
