The Niles Historical Society will sponsor the 9th annual "Luncheon on the Lawn" Saturday, July 25, 2009 at 12:00 noon on the beautiful grounds at the Ward-Thomas Museum, located at 503 Brown Street in Niles, Ohio
Guests are invited to arrive early to the luncheon so that they will have an opportunity to casually stroll through the beautiful gardens at the museum and enjoying the grandeur of the arboretum and manicured grounds of the museum. After the lunch is served, Carol Weakland will perform a one woman production of "Jane Eyre". She brings the literary classic to life and has been highly praised for her past performances. "Jane Eyre" is a romantic novel by Charlotte Bronte published in London, England in 1847 and has captured the imagination of its readers for over a hundred and sixty years. It is the story of a young lady who accepts a job as a governess at Thornfield Hall and she fell in love with her employer. He was a mysterious man with a terrible secret. You will step back in time with Ms. Weakland in her performance as she re-enacts all your favorite characters.
Cost of the event is $20.00.
