Welcome back to Behind the Glass with this early-release first episode of
series 2 !
Sam and new co-host Connie talk to prize-winning poet Jenny Mitchell...
Some recent Brontë-inspired musical moments on the net:
1. The upcoming play: Tamasha's Wuthering Heights.
Tamasha's blog has uploaded a new video of the rehearsals of this much expected Bollywood-like adaptation of Wuthering Heights:
This week , we’ve got another exclusive video: Pushpnder Chani (’Krishan’) and Youkti Patel (’Shakuntala’) in rehearsals for the show’s main love song The Sun Will Rise. Wuthering Heights will be like a classic Bollywood movie by following a classic Bollywood convention: actors lip-synching to the songs sung by professional vocalists. Wuthering Heights will embrace this convention to encapsulate the spirit of Bollywood cinema. So check out the clip below to see Pushpinder and Youkti being real movie stars in the rehearsal room.
2. A recent student production of Gordon & Caird's Jane Eyre (February 19 and 20) at the Louisville Middle School, Louisville, CO:
School performance by 13 year old, Ruby Dickson and classmate Sierra Pilkington, Louisville Middle School, Louisville Colorado, Jane Eyre, "Painting Her Portrait", "In the Light of the Virgin Morning", Feb. 2009.
3. At the Italian 2009 edition of X-Factor one of the contenders, Chiarastella, dares to cover Kate Bush's Wuthering Heights.
