The Times:
Hugh Leonard, the playwright who died on February 12 aged 82, enjoyed enormous success on Broadway with his two plays, Da and A Life, which earned him a considerable fortune; his regular literary jousts with critics and journalists also earned him a reputation as a feared curmudgeon, and his acid newspaper columns, even after filtering for libel, provided high entertainment.
More obituaries: The Irish Times (and again), Broadway.com, Broadway World, Playbill, Los Angeles Times, The Stage News , The Guardian or The Telegraph.
