We have selected several recent musical compositions inspired by the Brontës:

1. In the latest album of the French singer Jehanne Loz (Anne-Marie Hue), L'arbre bleu, it is included a piece named The moon is full this winter night (Track 11) based on the poem by Emily Brontë Honour's Martyr (21 November 1844) and adapted by the same Jehanne Loz.

More information on her MySpace website.

2. We report the recent performance of the Brontë Song Cycle by Cecilia McDowall in the Plzen Song Festival in the Czech Republic:
Wednesday 8 October 2008

Sarah Poole, soprano
programme to include:
Cecilia McDowall: Brontë Song cycle, Retrospection, Poor Captive Dove, and Snow.
The poems are respectively by Charlotte (From Retrospection, 1835), Anne (The Captive Dove 1842-43) and Emily Brontë (maybe To a Wreath of Snow, 1837). It was first performed in June 1995.

3. And finally, we have a youtube video of a couple of girls who call themselves The Valiant Vixens performing their very own Wuthering Heights song.
