A couple of recent youtube Brontë-related videos:

WUTHERING HEIGHTS recording 1
Frédéric Chaslin, composer of a new Wuthering Heights opera (more information on these previous posts) has uploaded a piano demo with the soprano Olga Peretyatko.

And another musical setting of Wuthering Heights, Bernard J. Taylor's musical:Denholm Elliott introduces Wuthering Heights
The late British actor Denholm Elliott introduces Bernard J. Taylor's musical adaptation of Emily Bronte's classic novel Wuthering Heights, with comments from Les Miserables lyricist Herbert Kretzmer and the Curator of the Bronte Museum. With scenes from the 1939 movie starring Laurence Olivier and Merle oberon.

And this is a sample of a project for setting into jazz Brontë poems by Jeannette Lambert. By the way, Jeannette Labert was the vocalist in the last Michel Lambert's album Unclouded Day (based in part in Emily Brontë's poetry) which we presented some time ago:
Vocalist Jeannette Lambert sings jazz versions of the poetry of the Brontes. This is a poem by Anne Bronte, performed in concert with Reg Schwager on guitar.
The poem is Lines Composed In A Wood On A Windy Day.

  1. I loathe Bernard J. Taylor's Wuthering Heights. It's like the 1939 Wuthering Heights wheere it sucks all of the darkness out of the tale. Plus, Dave Willets as Heathcliff? I don't think so.

  2. Oh, I don't completely dislike Bernard J. Taylor's Wuthering Heights. There are songs that really don't reflect the novel, but others are quite good, not quite so dark as the novel as you say, but good enough for me.
