A couple of Brontë novels adapted for the theatre open today, August 15:

The Black Ram Theatre Company begins an UK tour with a new production of Jane Eyre, in the Charles Vance adaptation:
Charlotte Bronte's well-loved, classic story of a penniless orphan is brought to the stage, faithfully conveying the exceptional power of the original novel. Focusing on the love story between Jane and Rochester, the play opens as Jane begins as governess to Rochester's ward, Adele, at Thornfield Hall, a place of mystery and fear. Jane and Rochester fall in love but their happiness is jeopardised by the terrible secret in Rochester's past.

Black Ram Theatre return with their ninth production, telling the story of literature's greatest heroine, an adventure filled with Victorian romance and conspiracy.

All tickets are £9 full price, £8 concession.
