Not much to report today, except the things people will come up with. From KLue:
How to have a great time with your boyfriend / girlfriend without spending too much money? [...]
• Go bargain shopping together. Set a target to buy something for each other under a certain budget. Hit the warehouse clearance sales for books, clothes, CDs and thingamajigs or browse the flea markets for rare finds. Haggling together strengthens the bonds of love![...]
You might just stumble across that first edition of "Wuthering Heights" that she's been wanting since forever. Yes! +2 to chance of getting laid tonight...
You know, because first editions of Wuthering Heights are both cheap (who doesn't carry £114,000 in pocket money?) and easily found in shops. They're right there by Shakespeare's first folio.

And if you're looking for some entertainment, the Contra Costa Times has a quiz where one of the questions is:
3. "Wuthering Heights" was the only novel written by Emily Bronte, originally published in 1847 under the pseudonym of Ellis Bell. The title refers to the Yorkshire manor that is the setting for the novel, but what is "Wuthering"?

A. The name of the family that built the residence

B. A regional word meaning "stormy"

C. The village where the residence is located

D. An archaic spelling of "withering"
(Stanley Newman)
Hmmm... which will it be?

A Season in England posts a picture of St Michael's and All Angels in Hartshead (not to be confused with Haworth's church) where Charlotte worshipped while getting her final inspiration for Jane Eyre. And Linda Lister writes briefly about her contribution to the new book The Brontës in the World of the Arts.
