A couple of months ago we posted about a new opera based on Wuthering Heights with music by Frédéric Chaslin and libretto by P.H. Fisher. We listened to the overture as it was played on the opening gala concert of the new Oslo Opera House directed by the composer himself (May, 3). Now we have a whole MySpace website full of very interesting details:
Wuthering Heights is an opera composed by Maestro Frédéric Chaslin, on a libretto by P.H. Fisher based on Emily Bronte's novel. The composition started on May 2007 and the samples you can listen to are part of a rehearsal piano recording session in preparation for a complete orchestral recording that will be made in September 08' with the same soloists. You can send your feedback to the composer, fc@chaslin.com or www.chaslin.com and to the librettist, www.millennialarts.com
The afore-mentioned samples are:
Act as If. Performed by Andrew Richards (in the picture), tenor.
Vocalise. Performed by Olga Peretyatko (in the picture), soprano.
Heathcliff's curse. (A. Richards)
Young Cathy Aria. (O. Peretyatko)
Love Duet. (A. Richards & O. Peretyatko)
Dying Duet (A. Richards & O. Peretyatko).
Also with the presence of Wolfgang Rauball (bass-baritone), Rod Gilfry (baritone), Constance Hauman (soprano).

EDIT: You can also check this captivating video:
