A walk to celebrate International Women’s Day!
Saturday 8 March 2008

Meet at the Red House car park, Oxford Road, Gomersal, at 10.30 a.m. for a walk to Oakwell Hall, via Birstall Parish Church, for a guided tour of the Hall on the theme of Women’s Lives from the Seventeenth Century.
Bring your own lunch or eat in the Oak Tree Café.
Return to the Red House for 2.30 p.m. approx. to see the home of Mary Taylor, feminist and friend of Charlotte Bronte. Here you can see The Secret’s Out exhibition, and visit Mary Taylor’s Grave.
