An interesting alert from the
Wethersfield Local History Group:
The Wethersfield Local History Group meets on the second Thursday of the month in Wethersfield Village Hall at 8.00pm. Everyone is welcome. The charge is £1.50 at the door and this includes tea/coffee and biscuits!
At the March meeting on Thursday 13th March, John Woollard and Gwenda Hall will be giving an illustrated talk entitled "The bi-centenary of Patrick Brontë's Curacy in Wethersfield in 1808".

Another alert for today is coming from the other side of the pond. From Redlands, CA,
auditions are being held for the upcoming (next May 10) Lifehouse Theater production of a new musical setting of Jane Eyre (written by Jana Smith along with Wayne R. Scott).
Open auditions for LifeHouse Theater’s new musical Jane Eyre, directed by veteran LifeHouse talent Debby Race, will be Thursday, March 13, 2008 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at LifeHouse Theater, 1135 N. Church Street, Redlands.
Auditions will be held on a first come-first served basis. Those auditioning should be at least ten years of age and bring a recent photo to leave with the audition panel. All are welcome and roles are open for men and women. Men are especially encouraged to audition.
Auditioners should bring their own sheet music in the preferred key, and be prepared to sing a short selection of about 16 measures. A pianist will be provided but will not be able to transpose any sheet music. Pre-recorded accompaniment, instrumental only, is allowed, provided it is on a CD.
Jane Eyre opens Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 7:30 PM and will continue on weekends through June 8, 2008. Performances are Fridays at 7:30 PM, Saturdays at 2:15 PM (except Opening Night) and 7:30 PM and Sundays at 2:15 PM. In addition to the weekend performances, there will be special Thursday performances on June 5 at 7:30 PM. Written by Jana Smith along with LifeHouse founder and president Wayne R. Scott, this family musical explores the intriguing world of Charlotte Bronte’s most beloved novels. Astounding secrets unravel in Bronte’s tale of a lonely orphan who must overcome strange and sinister circumstances.
