Charlotte Bronte's classic story of a governess who falls for her mysterious employer. A "Stages of the Law" production, sponsored by Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
Jane Eyre is an exploration of the mind and emotions of a passionate, strong-willed woman who is determined to live by her own principles and ethics. In the burned-out ruins of Thornfield Hall, Jane recalls her disturbing past and encounters the enigmatic Mr. Rochester. As she unravels the secrets of this mysterious place, she finds her own personal epiphany through honesty, courage and sacrifice. Charlotte Brontë’s classic, adapted for the stage by Robert Johanson, is frequently taught in high schools and this production may help facilitate students’ exploration of history, drama, literature, and social issues.
