Mad and Bad Women? female characters in favourite novels

How do writers present women in their novels? This course looks at major and minor female characters in ‘Jane Eyre’, ‘Wuthering Heights’ and ‘Rebecca’. We will then explore some intriguing alternative views of some of the characters in novels by Jean Rhys, Sally Beauman and Susan Hill.
