Los Angeles Times and The Boston Globe review Judith Thurman's Cleopatra's Nose, a book that we presented some time ago:
In a piece about the Brontë sisters and their various biographers, Thurman describes Charlotte as "a changeling princess" and Emily as "more like a Masai than like a Victorian maiden." (Meghan Daum in L.A. Times)
On the blogosphere, today: The Brontë Parsonage Blog posts about the Hull Family Home in Lancaster, New York, a 1810 Georgian building with strong architectural similarities to the Haworth Parsonage. And The Little Children has a discussion on Rochester's temperament.
