The Times-Picayune publishes an article about two New Orleans writers. One of them is Laura Joh Rowland. Although the article is basically about her Sano Ichiro saga, a reference to her upcoming new book,
The Secret Adventures of Charlotte Brontë, appears:
Rowland promises at least two more Sano thrillers, though her next novel of historical suspense, to be published in the spring, will center on Charlotte Bronte. (Diana Pinckley)
Chips and Ale reviews Wuthering Heights 1939.
Letras Libres talks in Spanish about the current
Balthus exhibition in Köln, Germany, and his series on Wuthering Heights is commented.
As we informed some days ago, next month a new edition of the novel with the Balthus illustrations will appear in the Spanish market.
And, even if not directly Brontë-related we cannot bypass the various articles talking about and promoting the upcoming airing of
Elizabeth Gaskell's Cranford in BBC1 (next Sunday, November 18). For instance, this one published in
The Times and written by Jenny Uglow, biographer of Elizabeth Gaskell also linked to the adaptation as series consultant.
