Three different alerts from reading groups around the world for today, November 14:

From Wenlock Books, Shropshire, UK:
Villette by Charlotte Brontë
November 14th: 2pm and November 28th: 7pm 2007
12 High Street, Much Wenlock, Shropshire, TF13 6AA

A moving tale of repressed feelings and subjection borne with fortitude: the story of a woman's right to love and be loved. We're looking forward to seeing how our adult selves respond to this book, compared to the way we read it when we were teenagers. Our re-readings of Jane Eyre and Daphne du Maurier found us with very different feelings towards certain characters.

From the St. Thomas University, Minnesota:
Great Books Reading Group to discuss Jane Eyre
2115 Summit Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota

St. Thomas' Great Books Reading Group will discuss Jane Eyre, by Charlotte Brontë (1816-1854), on Wednesday, Nov. 14.
The discussion will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. in Room 388, Owens Science Hall. Everyone is welcome. Refreshments will be served.
And from Swindon, UK:
North Swindon Library Readers' Group

Our group is informal, relaxed and chatty and we would welcome any new members.
The next title for North Swindon Library Readers' Group is Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte. The meeting will be on the 14 November 2007 at the usual time of 6.30pm until 8pm. Anyone who has read the book and is interested in discussing it is welcome to attend.
If you would like to find out more or become involved please call 01793 707120 and ask for Gwyneth or email northswindon.library@swindon.gov.uk or ask at the main desk next time you are in the library.
