The Times has an article on controversial artist Stella Vine which has led to the 'discovery' on our part of this funny take on Branwell's famous Pillar Portrait dating from 2005. Actually Branwell has been definitely left out of this picture, no need to hide behind pillars any more.

And it looks like Emily and Charlotte have both been made bigger than Anne, perhaps based on 'popularity'. We certainly hope the reason is not that Anne is deemed a worse writer than any of them!

Anyway, we like to see the Brontës renewed and kept alive in the 21st century. And we love looking at Charlotte's face in this painting.

This and other paintings by Stella Vine can be seen at Modern Art Oxford until September 23.
