The Arts and How They Was Done

Wednesday 25 April 2007 18:30-19:00 (Radio 4 FM)

The award-winning National Theatre of Brent explore The Arts. 4/6.
The Bronte Sisters And How They Done Their Novels.
With Patrick Barlow and John Ramm. Directed by Martin Duncan.
On Noise To Signal, Louis Barfe has already listened to the show and in its own words: I can’t recommend it highly enough:
Last Sunday, I saw Desmond and Raymond (with the help of director Martin Duncan) tackling the building of the Taj Mahal and the literary awakening of the Bronte sisters for their forthcoming series The Arts and How They Was Done. (...) It was good, but the Bronte episode – based on the inverted idea that they became authors so that they would be famous enough to have their house turned into a museum and tea room - caught fire. There was a five-minute stretch in the middle of the recording where I was laughing so intensely that I wished I knew more about circular breathing.
The show will be available to listen again for a week only.
