An alert for today, March 22, from Auckland, New Zealand, as we informed previously.
Susannah Fullerton, The Brontës: sisters of tragedy and passion

Jane Eyre. Thursday 22 March, level 2 Central City Library

5.30pm welcome glass of wine, 6pm start

Susannah Fullerton is a well-known literary lecturer and writer who has appeared at readers' courses and forums all over the world to rapt reviews. "Knowledgeable, versatile, entertaining and enlightening" are some of the adjectives used. Last year Auckland City Libraries was pleased to host her very popular talk on the life and works of Jane Austen. Her fascinating presentation on the Brontes, the three women from a Yorkshire parsonage who wrote such wildly romantic, complex and unconventional novels, is illustrated with slides.

Free movie tickets to the upcoming movie release Becoming Jane, which starts May 31, and stars Anne Hathaway as Jane Austen will be given away.

Susannah's travel expenses have been provided by the Auckland Decorative & Fine Arts Society Inc.
