The Education curriculum and the Brontës are a recurring topic. Particularly when we are talking about why boys are outperformed by girls at school. There's always someone who asks:
What do you think? Are more male teachers the answer? Are boys lagging because of too much Bronte and not enough Bond? Or are the problems rooted more deeply? (The Telegraph)
Fortunately, it seems that not all students think the same:
Ashley Paulsen, a junior at Battlefield High School, is an avid reader. Paulsen said, "Whenever I have the time and I'm not busy with school, I read. I usually find the time on Saturdays to read. I've read about 10 books this year.

"My favorite book is 'Jane Eyre.' I just love that book. Charlotte Bronte is my favorite author ... I think that whenever you read a book you learn something about yourself that you didn't know before," Paulsen said. (Chelle Catz in The Gainesville Times)
