Almost a year ago we publish about Imelda Marsden's efforts on the republication of W. W. Yates' The Father of the Brontës. Now she is again on the news because more copies of the book will be produced thanks to a donation of 200 pounds.

Binks Vertical, developers of the Ledgard bridge Mill apartments in Mirfield, made the gesture to the town's Bronte enthusiast, Imelda Marsden, to help fund production of more copies of The Father of the Brontes.
The book was written originally by former Dewsbury Reporter editor WW Yates in 1897, and has been out of print for decades.
However, Mrs Marsden resurrected the book, complete with new material from her own research.Copies have now reached the shelves of universities in Japan and America. Imelda added: "We've even got one at Harvard!" We're really pleased with it and it all helps put North Kirklees on the Bronte map. So much of the Bronte story is naturally about Haworth, but this area is steeped in Bronte history as well and we want to shout about it."
Coincidentally, Mrs Marsden's father, Michael Sheridan, used to work in Ledgard Bridge Mill during the 1950s and 1960s.Profits from the sale of the book will go to Hollybank School in Mirfield.
The book's cover was designed free by David Bull of Red Rags Design, Liversedge.
Copies of The Father of the Brontes are available from the Dewsbury Reporter office in Wellington Road, Spenborough Guardian office at 1 Market Street, Cleckheaton, Red House Museum in Gomersal and Oakwell Hall in Birstall. They are currently on sale at a reduced price of £10. (Dewsbury Today).
