Thanks to a brief mention in this article about the singer Lisa McClowry we have discovered a newly edited song with a very Brontë-ish title: "Jane Eyre in Jeans".

It is included in the new album of the singer/songwriter/pianist David Scott Crawford: "Belle Époque". Lisa McClowry makes a guest appearance in the song.

You can listen to the song, here.

  1. Bronte Blog:
Thanks so much for posting the info on my song "Jane Eyre in Jeans"...related to Lisa McClowry's guest vocal as "Jane". I have had more downloads of that song than any other on my album, and many 'hits' from your site. Who would have thought?
I wrote the song after seeing Charlotte Gainsbourg's portrayal, and thought it might be fun to draw the parallels between Jane Eyre's 19th century world and our's...laundromats, subways, and modern relationships, etc...
    Thanks again!

  2. You are more than welcome. We like to report things like your song because it shows how alive the Brontës are in popular culture.

We are happy we contributed a little to the success of the song.

Best of luck with your projects.
