We read in Chortle the following very shocking news:
He’s already upset certain sections of the Christian church – now Stewart Lee is turning his attentions to the Norse religion.

The co-creator of Jerry Springer: The Opera has revealed that he is writing a sitcom about the thunder God Thor for BBC Two.

In a newsletter to fans, the comic says that an independent production company has commissioned him to write a pilot episode of the show, in the hope of picking up a series.

Separately, Lee is also script-editing a pilot of another sitcom, about the Brontë Sisters.

A sitcom? With canned laughter?
