*** THE CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED ***

Thanks to the staff at Frances Lincoln, we have one copy of The Brontës at Haworth by Ann Dinsdale with photographs of Simon Warner (read our review) to give away.

The book makes a perfect Christmas present for any Brontë fan and a few of the pictures inside are very reminiscent of Christmas. This time we won't be asking a question with a straightforward answer. Here's the challenge:

Send us your favourite, more Christmas-like quote from any Brontë work or letter.

It doesn't need to include the word 'Christmas'. We would rather the quotation conveys the feeling of what Christmas time feels like for you, or what Christmas time should be all about in your opinion.

We will accept ONE QUOTE ONLY per participant. Quotations must be sent to our e-mail: bronteblog (AT) gmail (DOT) com (read that aloud and you will see it's an e-mail address alright) before December 23, 12am CET. The winner will be announced on Christmas Day, December 25, and their quote will be the weekly quote of that week.

Good luck to one and all!
