An Evening of Opera & Musical Theatre Scenes

Location: Meek Hall auditorium

Classic Literature on Stage, featuring scenes from the opera and musical theatre productions: "Falstaff," "Little Women," "Jane Eyre," "Romeo and Juliet," "A Midsummer Night's Dream," and "The Crucible."

The Clarion Ledger clarifies a little bit what is going on:
The program pairs vignettes of William Shakespeare, Louisa May Alcott, Charlotte Bronte and Arthur Miller with compositions of Giuseppe Verdi, Jason Howland, Robert Ward and Paul Gordon.

  1. Ha! I thought the title of this post was about all these characters put together in a single piece! And then I wondered how it would be if Jo March met Falstaff! What a jolly repartee there'd be between the two. And then if Jane was to meet Hotspur and teach him a lesson or two (like cool his pride and temper ;). Jane and Jo would be chums too!

    I could make a screenplay for this piece myself :D
